What Cosmonian is

Cosmonians are the people of Cosmonia, a small imaginary corner of the universe. The idea is simple: before you were born, your soul picked Earth from one of 12 stars. Sirius, Vega, the Pleiades, Polaris, Andromeda, Cassiopeia, Orion, Antares, the Milky Way, Arcturus, Betelgeuse, Canopus.

Which star you came from changes how you love, how you work, and the one habit your friends tease you about. The thing you do without knowing why? It might be written in your star.

How the test works

You enter your birthday. Cosmonian reads the pattern hidden in it and lands on one of 12 values. Each value is matched to a real star or galaxy, and that star becomes your Star Person. The whole calculation runs in your browser and takes less than a second.

Underneath it is an old way of reading character from the numbers of a birth date, one that people have used for a very long time. We wrapped it in stars because, honestly, a star is easier to love than a number.

Is it science? No. It is a personality test dressed up as a star story, built to be fun and easy to share. Take what fits, laugh at what does not.

Who makes it

Cosmonian is made by a small independent team in Japan. It started in June 2026 as a Japanese site, after a conversation in a yoga class about which star everyone came from turned out to be more fun than the yoga. The English version launched in September 2026.

The 12 characters are original illustrations. Every profile, every one of the four flavors of each Star Person, and every starseed page was written by hand for this site.

How it stays free

The test, the profiles, and the starseed pages are free, with no account and no email. To keep it that way, some pages may carry affiliate links to third-party services, such as paid personal readings. When a link is an affiliate link, it is labeled, and if you buy something through it the site may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We only link to services we would be comfortable sending a friend to, and we say plainly how they bill.

Your data

Your birthday never leaves your browser. It is stored on your device only so the page can remember your result, and you can delete it any time by clearing site data. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
